uPVC (un-plasticized polyvinyl chloride) is a durable yet lightweight solution for windows and doors. The
benefits of uPVC products are that they are recyclable, easy to transport, rigid, wipe clean, and fire-
resistant. uPVC does not wear, warp, or decompose with time like wood does, so it is a long-lasting
solution for your door and window needs. Products made from uPVC are also relatively inexpensive
compared to bespoke wood frames, and to give you a variety of choice as a consumer, we stock a wide
range of uPVC products from the three major uPVC companies in our industry.
Aluplast
Aluplast is an innovator in the uPVC field, creating doors and windows from high-grade uPVC which
combines the benefits of temperature regulation, aesthetic design, and safety.
There are several types of windows that Aluplast offers. The Ideal 4000 and the Ideal 7000 come in a
70mm depth and can have bonding added on for extra protection against break-ins. The Ideal 7000 and
8000 both have a construction depth of 85mm and are a great option for the construction of new
buildings.
Aluplast also offers another range of windows – energeto. The energeto windows put insulation and
energy saving at top priority. Both the Ideal Series and the energeto windows have optional add-ons like
lamination, Powerdur, foam and bonding inside, and Aluskin. Aluplast offers two main-entrance doors,
the 70 and 85. They both have the option of lamination, foam inside, and Aluskin too. Miodis also carries
Aluplast & 39s ingenious sliding doors, the smart-slide and the lift-slide.
Folding shutters are another range of products Aluplast creates – a highly popular choice for older
buildings. These shutters will fit the construction depth of 48mm and they also fit with the standard
hardware in use today. The shutters come in three varieties: fixed blades in an inclined position, fixed
blades in a closed position, and adjustable blades.
Eurocell
Miodis also carries a wide range of Eurocell products including uPVC doors, windows, lantern roofs, and
supplies for garden rooms.
Eurocell makes Modus windows, which have more than 30 colours and finishes to choose from. They
also have four options for sashes and a 12-year guarantee – the first offer of its kind in the industry. The
Modus-S, another line of windows by Eurocell, has a natural wood-grain finish, a clean look, a very good
energy-efficiency rating, and a durable design.
There are many different options for Eurocell doors too, including bi-fold, composite, French, sliding,
and residential doors. There are several different options for opening and hardware as well as for
colours and finishes.
Looking for something a little different? Roof lanterns are also available from this company, and their
Skypods come in four different design options and they offer a 10-year guarantee. Eurocell also offers
many kinds of uPVC conservatories to suit any style and taste.
Kommerling
Kommerling offers a wide array of top-quality windows and doors. Their Kommerling 88 window system
has a depth of 88mm. It was designed to be used for new buildings. And features excellent insulation
capabilities that can be used in passive-energy homes. It has a glazing range of up to 58mm and comes
in wood, metallic colours, white, or plain.
The Kommerling 76 and the Kommerling 70 are 76mm deep and 70mm deep, respectively, and meet the
requirements for a low-energy home. The Kommerling 70 can have glazing that is 10mm to 44mm thick.
The Kommerling PremiDoor 88 is a great energy-saver, the 88 has a depth of 88mm and its glazing range
is 56mm. It is stable from floor to ceiling up to 2.9m. Its transition has no barrier with high insulation.
The PremiDoor 76 is 76mm in depth. It can have a width of up to 2.4m and a height of up to 6m. This
door has a five-chamber layout which has a construction depth of 189.5mm, which makes the door
perfect for home remodels. As for glazing, it can be done up to a thickness of 55mm.
